The Early Learning Camps Camproom
The Camproom is located in Teacher Julie’s home in what used to be a very large bonus room. Now it is the “camproom” she and most children have always dreamed of. Everything about this space is dedicated to anything a typical classroom would have.
Children are able to use state of the art learning toys such as a kitchen, workbench, chalkboards, painting easel, play tables, train table, puzzles, children’s library filled with hundreds of books for ages 2 through 10, and a very large log house that the children love to role play in. Dizzy's Tumble Bus comes to our camp during the extended care program. Early Learning Camps has all the essential materials of an academic oriented school and a highly trained and certified teacher who loves her job!
Some of the learning materials children work with are: the best reading and printing programs and multi sensory materials like, crayons, finger paints, clay, foam, blocks, puzzles, and even children’s lap top computers.
ELC uses a combination of 4 of the best reading programs that are currently being used in many of our local school districts. Teacher Julie has found that her Pre-K students have developed a strong reading foundation and have began to read using these programs along with her teaching techniques. Many of the Pre-K students go to Kindergarten reading at a Kindergarten to 2nd grade level. When weather permits children enjoy the great outdoors in the large fenced backyard. Children from 2.5 to 5 enjoy the sand boxes, outdoor easel, water table, slide, airplane teeter totter that holds 7, lounging area, kickball area, and lunch table. The home is located in a safe cul-de-sac and a long driveway makes drop off and pick up very convenient.
